Former Maldivian President Gayoom in Sri Lanka

Former President Maumoon Abdul Gayoom of Maldives and Mrs. Nasreena Gayoom were welcomed on arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport by Professor G.L. Peiris, Minister of External Affairs, on Wednesday, (16).

Former President Gayoom will be the Guest of Honour at the Commonwealth Day event which will be hosted on 26th April 2014 by President Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as Chair-in-Office of the Commonwealth, and to celebrate the Sinhala & Tamil New Year.
