Solicitor General Yuwanjana Wanasundera Wijjethilake was sworn in as Sri Lanka’s 28th Attorney General, before President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Thursday (23) .
Wanasundara Wijethilake who took oaths as an Attorney-at-Law in 1979, joined the Attorney General’s Department as a State Counsel in 1980 and thereby completes 34 years of service.
He has served as a Senior State Counsel, a Deputy Solicitor General and an Additional Solicitor General.
He is an old boy of Ananda College, Colombo and is the son of former Supreme Court Judge S.R.Wijetilleke. (KH)
