After observing religious rites, the President called on the Chief Sanghanayaka of North and East Ven.Yatawara Pagnarathana Thero.
The President also received blessings from Maha Sangha of the area who were present at the Viharaya.
Chief Incumbent of Neela Rajamaha Viharaya in Neelapola Ven.Karandagolle Pagnasena Thero said that only President Rajapaksa could protect the country's sovereignity and territorial integrity and as such people are duty bound to support the President in protecting the motherland. (KH)
