President opens Wasantha Sanath's "My Pencil" Solo Art Exhibition ^Featured

The “Mage Pensala” ("My Pencil") a solo art exhibition displaying the talents and skills of artist Wasantha Sanath was declared open by President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Friday (28).

The Exhibition which is in progress at the Exhibition Hall of the Public Library in Colombo will continue until Sunday the 30th. It is open to the public from 10 am to 6 pm.

Noteworthy is the pencil point used by Wasantha Sanath in all his drawings. He has used the pencil to draw photographs of outstanding persons in various fields and it was his drawings that were presented by the President to State Leaders who participated in the CHOGM 2014 hosted by Sri Lanka last year.

A drawing of D.A. Rajapaksa and his wife completed by Wasantha Sanath was presented by him to President Rajapaksa. A group including Provincial Councillor Isuru Devapriya was present at the opening of the Exhibition. (ST/KH)
