Newly elected President, Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe visited the Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy and paid homage to Lord Buddha on Sunday (11).
They called on the Chief Prelate of the Malwaty Chapter Most.Ven. Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Mahanayaka Thero and the Chief Prelate of Asgiri Chapter Most.Ven.Udugama Sri Buddharakkhita Mahanayaka Thero. The Chief Prelates bestowed their blessings upon the new President and the Prime Minister.
