Construction of 250 Mahindodaya Science laboratories during the year 2014 to teach newly introduced technological scheme to the school curriculum will commence from today at 250 selected schools.
The inauguration ceremony was held at the Lumbini Maha Vidyalaya in Colombo this morning (June 2) under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapakse.
The Ministry of Education has launched this project with assistance from the World Bank.
It is expected to complete all construction activities of the Science Laboratories within 6 months. These laboratories will be setup in addition to Mahindodaya Technical Laboratories.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
