85 Cricket Clubs will be using their 143 valid votes.at the elections .

According to the Police Spokesperson ASP Ruwan Gunasekera around 75 Police Officers will be deployed today at the Sports Ministry. Director General of Sports (DGS), K.D Ruwanchandra said that no one will be allowed to carry private security personnel or MSD personnel and also carrying weapons, mobile phones will be prohibited.

The election is taking place after a period of two years, and seven positions including President and Secretary as well as 20 committee members positions will be contested.
