Ifthaar was celebrated by the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah on 25 May 2018 in collaboration with the city’s Sri Lankan expatriate Community under the guidance of Consul General, Justice A.W.A. Salam. Approximately 1200 Sri Lankans belonging to all faiths attended the event.

Accordingly the proposal to get membership of the said programme was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers
