It is good to learn about foreign cultures but we should not let them eclipse our own. While it is important for us to uphold the inherited values and unique cultures of our ethnic and religious communities, we should not allow these bonds to eclipse the even greater unity that we as Sri Lankans should all share. True patriotism puts country first, he added.
