Upon its entry into force, this Agreement will supersede the previous Air Services Agreement between and beyond the respective territories of Sri Lanka and Poland which was signed in January 1982.

The outcome of these negotiations would be beneficial not only to the increase of tourism and trade, but also the bilateral cooperation between Sri Lanka and Poland.

Due to the cordial relation that exist between the Civil Aviation Authority of Poland and the Embassy of Sri Lanka, these negotiations were facilitated and expedited within a short period of time by D.S De Silva, Chargé d’ Affaires and the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Poland.
