    Bangladesh Naval Ships arrives at the Port of Colombo on goodwill visit

    Bangladesh Naval Ships “OSMAN” and “MADHUMATI” arrived at the Port of Colombo on a goodwill visit on Wednesday (30). They were welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions on arrival.

    The Navy has organized several programmes for the crew to enhance the friendly relations between the two navies during their stay in Sri Lanka. The ship will be in Sri Lanka until August 02.

     

    OSMAN (F – 18) is a frigate. It is 103 meters in length and has a displacement of 1702 tons. The ship commanded by Captain SMAK Azad has a complement of 250 naval personnel. MADHUMATI (P-911) is a Coastal Patrol Craft. It is 61 meters in length and has a displacement of 635 tons. The ship commanded by Commander SM Sharif-ul-Islam has a complement of 70 naval personnel.(kh)
