    HRC initiates youth camp to mark 70th Anniversary of UDHR

    The Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka (HRCSL) is organizing a Youth Camp bringing together youth from all 25 districts to mark the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).During the camp, participants will participate in an experiential learning process and acquire competences in the fields of intercultural learning and dialogue within a human rights framework.

    This Youth Camp is a residential program and will take place for 5 days.The Youth Camp will bring together 100 young people aged between 18 and 25 years from Different ethnic and religious groups in the 25 Districts.

    The Youth Camp aims to develop awareness and basic competencies (knowledge, skills, and attitudes, and also appreciation of human rights value base that respects equality of freedom of choice, of speech, association and assembly, the right to a decent life, respecting other�s rights) of participants in human rights, diversity and pluralism, intercultural learning and dialogue, including a critical understanding of personal and collective identities and their role in different human rights situations.
