    Pakistan New Defence Attache calls on Army Chief

    The newly-appointed Defence Attaché to the High Commission of Pakistan in Colombo, Colonel Mohammed R Irshad Khan, paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnyake at the Army Headquarters Tuesday (26) afternoon.

    The discussions focused on the possibilities for Regiment to Regiment exchange programmes between Sri Lanka Army and Pakistan Army as new initiatives for broader understanding among different corresponding Regiments in the Pakistan Army.

    The envoy assured his fullest support for implementation of the proposed programme in consultation with his superiors in Pakistan, in the future.

    The meeting came to an end with the  exchange of mementos.  (SLArmy/KH)
