    Baluchistan Parliamentary Delegation to visit Parliament today

    The visiting Parliamentary delegation of of Balochistan Provincial Assembly of Pakistan, headed by Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali will meet the Speaker of Sri Lankan Parliament Chamal Rajapaksa and will also observe the proceedings of the Sri Lankan Parliament, today (25).  They will attend a luncheon hosted by Hon Chamal Rajapaksa.


    The Parliamentary delegation of Balochistan Provincial Assembly of Pakistan, headed by Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali arrived in Sri Lanka on  a 4 day visit on Thursday (24).

     
    The visit aims at further strengthening Pakistan - Sri Lankan bilateral parliamentary relations and exploring ways to enhance bilateral ties between the two friendly countries in regional and global context.

     
    During his visit, Speaker Mir Jan Muhammad Khan Jamali is scheduled to call on Sri Lankan President  Mahinda Rajapasha.

     
    Mir Jan Mohammad Jamali is a prominent politician of Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz), hailing from Jaffarabad, Balochistan. He was first elected as a member of Provincial Assembly of Balochistan in 1988. In his political career, Speaker Jamali has held several important position such as Deputy Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Chief Minister Balochistan and Provincial Minister.

     
    Other members of the delegation includes Balochistan Government Ministers Sardar Ghulam Mustafa Khan Tareen, as well as Members of Parliament Mrs. Ruquiya Saeed, Mrs. Samina Khan, Ms. Arifa Siddiqui, Mrs. Spozmi Achakzai and Mir Amir Rind.
