    Nigeria is now open for Sri Lankan investments

    Nigeria’s High Commissioner in Sri Lanka, S U Ahmed said that they were not represented very well in Sri Lanka though they have been doing business for a long time with Sri Lanka.

    He stated this at a session on “Bilateral Trade between Sri Lanka and Nigeria”,organized by the National Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka.

     

    Nigeria is planning  to creat a joint trade mission in Sri Lanka to strengthen bilateral trade and investment promotion between two countries.

     

    Ahmed invites Sri Lankan investors for investments in petroleum exploration and petrochemical production, banking and finance, gold processing, telecommunication, gems industry, mining of industrial minerals, air transport, tourism , and manufacturing sectors in Nigeria.

     

    He further invited Sri lankans for power generation, transmission and distribution investments because a high demand is available for power in both house hold and industrial sector in Nigeria.
