33 Naval Personnel Complete Special Boat Squadron Training

Three officers and 30 sailors of the Sri Lanka Navy successfully completed the 30th Special Boat Squadron Qualifying Course and received their badges at a ceremony held at the Special Boat Squadron Headquarters in Gangewadiya, Puttalam.

The six-month training programme provided theoretical and practical training in small boat operations, search and rescue, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.

Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Navy, Rear Admiral Ravindra Tissera, attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest and presented special awards to outstanding trainees.

The event also featured a demonstration exercise showcasing the trainees' skills in small boat operations and disaster relief, with the participation of a Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter.
