The fourth Randoli Perahera of the historic Kandy Esala Perahera Festival is currently parading through the streets of Kandy.
The procession commenced at the auspicious time of 6:44 p.m. today (26), attracting large crowds of devotees and spectators. The honour of carrying the Sacred Relic Casket during today’s procession has been entrusted to the majestic tusker “Kadira Pura Wasana.”
The Randoli Perahera is one of the most significant events of the annual Kandy Esala Perahera, featuring traditional dancers, drummers, elephants and cultural performances in a grand religious and cultural spectacle.
