The Railway Department has introduced a new train service to facilitate schoolchildren and other passengers travelling between Polgahawela and Peradeniya.
Train services between Kankesanthurai and Gampola resumed on October 2 and are currently operating as usual, according to the Department of Railways.
The new service has been introduced alongside the resumption of train operations to improve travel convenience for passengers travelling along the route.
