Marking a significant step forward in Sri Lanka’s healthcare sector, the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital today (24) declared open South Asia’s first hospital-based 4D Angio CT suite, along with a modern dental health unit.
The project was implemented with financial assistance exceeding Rs. 1,000 million from the Government of Japan. The newly installed 4D Angio CT system represents a highly advanced technology that has not previously been available in either the state or private hospital sectors in Sri Lanka.
In addition, the newly established dental unit, equipped with 10 modern dental chairs, will enable the hospital to provide high-quality and efficient healthcare services to patients.
Addressing the event, minister emphasized that it is the responsibility of healthcare staff to utilize these advanced facilities at maximum capacity to deliver prompt services to patients. He also stated that efforts will be made to reduce patient waiting lists, modernize healthcare services in line with current needs, and elevate the hospital to a center of excellence.
