Shammi Silva, the President of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), has resigned from his position with effect from today (29), according to an official statement issued by Sri Lanka Cricket.
The statement further noted that office bearers and members of the SLC Executive Committee have also submitted their resignations alongside him.
It was also stated that this decision has been formally communicated to Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the President of Sri Lanka, and Sunil Kumara Gamage, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports.
