01. Funding for the implementation of Water Supply Project Giridara (Document No – 06)

Description – It was decided to empower National Water Supply and Drainage Board to enter in to a Loan Agreement with Peoples Bank to obtain a sum of Rs.513.28 Million for Giridara Water Supply Project.
02. Listing the census units (Document No – 8)

Description – It was decided to List the island-wide census units during the year 2018 and to continue this process two yearly thereafter.
03. Funding for the construction of Multipurpose Center Makumbura. (Document No – 9)

Description – It was decided to carry out proposed constructions of the Makumbura Multipurpose Centre using the remaining balance of the Loan obtained from JICA for Outer Circular Highway Project-Second Phase. Estimated amount is Rs.306.79 million.
04. Establish Project Management Units to expedite the Northern Railway Rehabilitation and Installation of Railway Cross Roads Protection Systems (Document No –10 )

Description – It was decided to establish Project management units to expedite Northern Railway rehabilitation and to implement the project of installing railway cross-road protection system under the financial assistance of Union of Imports and Exports of Hungary.
05. Amending Labour Laws in order to protect the rights of Domestic Workers (Document No – 11)

Description – considering a proposal made by the Minister of Labour Trade Union relations and Sabaragamu Development, W.D.J.Senevirathne the cabinet of Ministers granted Policy Approval to made legislations to protect the rights of domestic workers.
06. Implementation of the Loan Scheme for Small and Medium Scale enterprises (Document No –13 )
Proponent – Mangala Samaraweera, Minister of Finance and Mass Media
Description – it was decided to enter in to loan agreements with Participating Financial Institutions (10 Government and Private Sector Banks) for the Loan Aid Program of granting loans to start a business or widen an existing business.
07. Extension of Polduwa subway from "Suhurupaya " towards "Koswatta Junction" (Document No –17)
Proponent – Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development
Description – It was decided to extend Polwatta Subway towards Koswatta Junction (nearly 4 km ) as a four lane road.
08. Granting Two portions of lands in Muthurajawela Sand Fill Area to service projects on Lease basis (Document No – 18)
Proponent – Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development
Description – It was decided to grant two portions of lands to John Keels Logistics (Pvt.)Ltd on Lease basis for a period or 30 years.
09. Flood Control in Colombo and Kolonnawa Area (Document No –20 )
Proponent – Patali Champika Ranawaka, Minister of Megapolis and Western Development
Description – It was decided to implement a project to remove the obstacles to the flow of the Kiththmpahuwa canal in Sedawatta – Ambathale road by reconstructing the flood gate located near the spill and to conserve the banks of the canal with the support of the climate action committee of the department of irrigation.
10. Amendment of Prevention of Domestic Violence Act No.35 of 2005 (Document No – 26)
Proponent –Chandrani Bandara, Minister of Women and Child Affairs
Description – It was decided to amend the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act No.35 of 2005 inserting the amendments proposed by the committee.
11. Obtaining suitable lands to the local government for solid waste management (Document No – 27)
Proponent – Faizer Mustafa, Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Navin Dissanayake, Minister of Plantation Industries Gayantha Karunathilaka, Minister of Land and Parliamentary Reforms
Description – It was decided to convey the lands that has already been released for disposal of garbage to respective local authorities. Further it was decided to take over the lands, owned by the State Plantation Corporation and Land reforms Commission that has been identified as suitable for the disposal after developing as sanitary landfills ,to the government under the Land Acquisition act and to allocate them to local government authorities.
12. Construction of Kalu Ganga – Moragahakanda exchange channel under the Upeer Elahera Chaneel Constructin Project (Document No –31 )
Proponent – H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment
Description – it was decided to award the contract of Upper Elahera Channel Construction project to Sinohydro Corporation Limited for Rs. 6,111.91 million.
13. Obtaining Catering Services for Airport Lounges (Document No –35 )
Proponent – Nimal Siripala de Silva, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation
Description – It was decided to award the contract of supplying catering services for the airport Lounges to M/s Sri Lankan Catering Limited for 3 years.
14. Perform the constructions of Government Institutions using NERD Technology (Document No –37 )
Proponent – Susil Premajayantha, Minister of Science, Technology and Research
Description – it was decided to perform the constructions in Government institutions using NERD Technology directly through National Engineering and Research Development Centre, subject to Rs.50 million Maximum.
15. Procurement of 100 MW additional electricity in order to ensure continuous power supply in the country (Document No – )
Description – it was decided to purchase electrical Power capacity for 6 months as follows.
56 MW capacity from M/s Aggreko International Projects Limited at the rate of Rs.28.063 Per Hour
44 MW capacity from M/s Heyleys Avenutra (Pvt) Ltd at the rate of Rs.28.367 per Hour.
16. Construction of Wavunathiw Sola Power Plant (Document No – 40)
Proponent - Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Minister of Power and Renewable Energy
Description – It was decided to award the Build, Own & Operate contract of Wavunathiw Sola Power Plant to M/s Ex-Pack Corrugated Cartons (Pvt)Ltd at the rate of Rs.11.86 per KWH
Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
17. Purchasing 100 Compactors in order to formalize the Garbage Transportation (Document No – )
Proponent: Faizer Mustafa, Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government
Description – Considering the recommendations of Procurement committee and Procurement Appeals board, it was decided to award the contract of providing 100 compactors to XZY Hong Kong Company Limited for Rs. 622,13 .
18. establishment of Medical Faculty of University of Sabaragamuwa (Document No – 45)
Proponent - Lakshman Kiriella, former Minister of Higher Education and Highways
Description – Considering the agreement of the Minister of Higher education and Highways Mr. Kabeer Hasheem it was decided to take over the Building Complex and land owned to the Department of Auditor General located at Rathnpura – Colombo main road ,near the Batuhena School to the Ministry of Higher education and Highways.
19. Introducing a new Act for the commission to investigate Bribery or Corruption (Document No –50 )

Description – It was decided to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft a new Act to establish the Commission to investigate Bribery or Corruption as a Independent Institution.
20. Compensation Payment Office (Document No –51 )

Description – It was decided to instruct the Legal Draftsman to draft an Act to establish a compensation Payment Office where any Sri Lankan can submit their Compensation Claims.
21. Implementation of the Government Paddy Purchasing Program for Maha Season 2017/2018 (Document No – 52)

Description – It was decided to obtain Rs.500 Million to implement the Paddy Purchasing Program of the Government.
22. Solve the Educational Problems of Medical Students in SITEM (Document No – 57)
Proponent : H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment
Description – It was decided to implement the below mentioned recommendations of the Committee.
• to assign the Current SAITM Students to the Medical Faculty of Kothalawala Defense University and to award Medical Degree to the students who successfully complete the study.
• to provide the re current and Capital expenditure which are needed for their studies and the re current expenditure for the maintenance of Hospital services, by the Government.
