Naigala Rajamha Vihara is a historically and archaeologically important place of worship situated in the Weeraketiya Divisional Secretarial Division in Hambantota District in the Southern part of the country.

A special committee had already been appointed to handle all arrangements pertaining to the State Vesak festival and the members of the committee include the Secretary to the Ministry of Buddhasasana, the Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs, the Hambantota Government Agent, Chief Incumbent of the Naigala Purana Raja Maha Viharaya Ven.Marunawela Sumanajothi Nayaka Thera and other state officials.
