    Vice Admiral Girish Luthra called on Commander of SL Navy

    Flag Officer Commanding in Chief of Southern Naval Command of the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Girish Luthra called on the Commander of the Navy Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne at the Naval Headquarters yesterday (18th April).

     

    Cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest and bilateral importance were held between them and mementos were also exchanged to the mark the occasion.

     

    The Director General Operations, Rear Admiral Dharmendra Wettewa gave a comprehensive presentation on operational and training matters to the Indian delegation.

     

    The Chief of Staff, Rear Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe and Director Generals of Sri Lanka Navy along with the Commanding Officers INS Tir, INS Sujatha and ICGS Varuna, Captain CR Ayyar, Commander S Muthukrishnan, Commander B Ranjan and the Defence Advisor of the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka, Captain Prakash Gopalan were also present.

     

    Vice Admiral Girish Luthra arrived in Sri Lanka on 14th April on a six-day official visit.
