Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most provinces of the island today (27th April) after 2.00 pm.
According to the Department of Meteorology, few showers may occur in the Eastern and Southern coastal areas in the morning too.
Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers are expected and the public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning.
