Police have arrested eight Nigerian nationals and two Sri Lankans during a raid for possession of cocaine, the police said.
The Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) and the Special Task Force (STF) arrested the eight Nigerians and the Sri Lankan husband and wife in a joint operation conducted on Sunday in Mount Lavinia and Kelaniya areas.
The suspects, who are residents of Colombo, were in the possession of 222 grams of cocaine, the police said. They have been detained at the PNB.
