    Government aims high with free education and healthcare Featured

    Government has already allocated a higher amount of funds for free health and free education from the recent budget. “It is the government’s target to provide better health service and better education,” said Cabinet Spokesman and Health Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne .

    According to Minister Senaratne, the Government will take every possible step to make people healthy and educated.


    Addressing the weekly Cabinet press briefing at the Government Information Department Auditorium today (May 11), Minister has also emphasized that in many ways, Sri Lanka has a development success story. Its economy has been growing steadily and this has lifted millions of people out of poverty and boosted shared prosperity.


    Minister Senaratne stressed that the Government will make the necessary changes in the education in the future and build new state universities and education colleges to increase the number of students receiving higher education.
