Minister of Health Dr. Rajitha Senarathne has instructed the Director General of Health Services Dr. Palitha Mahipala to take necessary steps to import Ethanol for government hospitals' laboratories only through the Medical Supply Division.
A special meeting in this regard was held recently at the Health Ministry under the patronage of the Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne.
The officials of the Sri Lanka Customs and Department of Import and Export pointed out the minister Seanarathne that many problems have been arisen due to the involvement of other companies in importing Ethanol. Accordingly, it was decided to import Ethanol only from the Medical Supply Division of the Ministry of Health.
