Government and the government approved Sinhala and Tamil medium schools will close on Friday, 2nd December for the third term vacation, Ministry of Education announced.
Accordingly, these schools will be closed from 3rd December to 1st January and the new academic term for year 2017 will commence on 2nd January, 2017.
Ministry further stated that the opening date of other schools, where the paper evaluations are held will announce later.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
