According to the Paddy Marketing Board, the Government has spent 400 million rupees to purchase the paddy.
The cultivators expressed their gratitude to the Government to launching a programme to purchase their yield.

The Paddy Marketing Board has purchased 8,660 kilograms of paddy of the Maha harvest from the Northern cultivators. The purchased paddy has been stocked in 15 warehouses,The Paddy Marketing Board revealed.
