The Met. Dept. said that showers will occur at times in the sea area off the coast extending from Mannar to Hambantota via Puttalam, Colombo and Galle. Showers or thundershowers will develop at the sea areas around the island after 2 pm.
Winds will be Southwesterly and speed will be 30-40 kmph.
Mannar to Hambantota via Puttalam, Colombo and Galle sea areas will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times. However the sea areas around the island may be temporary rough during thundershowers.
