The Paddy Marketing Board (PMB) has initiated a mobile unit to collect paddy from Mahaweli C Zone farmers. Officers of this unit have already reached Damaneveva, Medagampitiya and Pallegama to purchase paddy from farmers - Rs. 45 for a kilo of nadu and Rs. 50 for a kilo of samba.
