Country's development work should continue - Minister W.D.J.Senevirathna

    November 27, 2015

Today there is a need to take forward the country's development work.  What we expect is to go for a collective development programme, Minister of Labour Affairs W.D.J.Senevirathna said.

He stated this today (26) participating at the Debate on the second reading of the Appropriation bill 2016, in Parliament.

A balanced budget for next year has been presented. A country needs foreign investment and a consistent policy is crucial to attract foreign investments.

We joined together to go ahead while achieving economic and social development.  "There are fruitful proposals in the budget", said the Minisgter and added, "We could help the country achieve sustainable  development through the Global Goals."

It is very important to allocate funds through the budget to upgrade rural schools with required facilities, the Minister emphasised.
