Minister Sajith Premadasa has charged that previous administration mis-appropriated more than 1000 lakhs of rupees for the propaganda of the presidential election and the “Divinaguma” conference.
Minister Premadasa expressed this view during a meeting to provide housing loans in the Ampara District. 1200 families in the Ampara District, without permanent housing facilities were given housing loans to the value of 100 thousand rupees, under the patronage of Minister Premadasa.
The government expects to complete the constructions of these houses by the end of this year. Financial assistance was also given to 700 self-employed people under the “Divinaguma” program.
