    Troops assist to conduct Medical Clinic

    Sri Lanka Army troops serving under Security Forces Headquarters- Central extended their assistance to conduct two medical clinics in Hambantota recently. The medical clinics were held at the Yahangala Primary School and Beralihela Junior School in the Hambantota District with the assistance of troops of 12 Division and 122 Brigade, 10(V) Gemunu Watch and 18 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG).

    The medical clinic held at the Yahangala Primary School in Bandagiriya drew about 465 patients. 100 pairs of spectacles and school items were also distributed among needy patients and school children during the occasion.

     

    At the medical clinic held at Beralihela Junior School in Lunugamwehera 573 patients were treated. School items were also donated among children of poor families in the area.

     

    A 25-member medical team of the Jayagrahanaya (Victory) Foundation of Colombo, led by Consultant Physician Dr. Anula Wijesundara provided medical consultations at both medical clinics.
