Secretary to the Ministry of Provincial Council and Local Government Kamal Padmasiri has sent a letter to the Chairman of the Committee on Delimitation Appeals investigation Ashoka Peris requesting to submit its final report as soon as possible.
The final report of the committee was scheduled to be submitted to the Minister of Provincial Council and Local Government Faizer Mustapha on 30th November this year. But, drawing of maps and translating into Tamil and English delayed the process.
Although they needed another two weeks to submit the report due to above reasons, the report has not been submitted to the Minister so far.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
