75th National Independence celebrated in Jaffna with Cultural Festival
February 13, 2023The Jaffna District Cultural Festival was held yesterday at the Jaffna Fort premises in celebration of Sri Lanka's 75th National Independence Day. The event, which showcased the rich Tamil culture of the Northern Province, was attended by a large number of people from Jaffna and featured a massive music concert.
Sri Lanka Donates Tea to Earthquake stricken Türkiye

The Government of Sri Lanka with the support of the Ceylon Tea Exporters donated a consignment of "Ceylon Tea" on 10 February 2023, to the Ambassador of Türkiye in Colombo to be delivered to the victims of the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye.
The Government official news portal is maintains by the New Media Unit of the Department of Government Information and it was titled "news.lk" and commenced in mid1996 and release to Internet from March 01st, 1997.
