All passengers arriving from foreign countries have been limited and unless it is absolutely essential the public should avoid foreign travel, the Immigration and Emigration Controller General Sarath Rupasiri appealed to the public.
Issuing a notice the Health and Indigenous Medicine Ministry stated that despite tomorrow (16) being declared a government holiday, the health service will continue to function as an essential service.
The funds required to face the Coronavirus situation in the country has been received already, said the Health Ministry Secretary Badrani Jayawradena.
Health Services Director General Consultant Dr. Anil Jasinghe urged the public to cooperate with the quarantine efforts to curb the spread of the Coronavirus.
