Zonal sport events, which were scheduled for this March were postponed due to prevailing warm weather in the island.
Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam issuing instructions to all education officials have prohibited exposing school children to sunny conditions, which may cause adverse health issues. According to sources, the Minister has further requested school Principals to prevent the students engaging with the outside activities in these days.
