Along with the suspects a dinghy, a monofilament net, two diving masks and a pair of diving fins used for fishing activities were also taken into custody.
The apprehended persons and the items were produced to Sampoor Police for onward action.

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Parakumba in Eastern Naval Area arrested nine local fishermen who engaged in illegal fishing activities in Sampoor area on 5th June 2016.
