National Council for Road Safety implementing the first phase in 2016 provided financial relief for the victims of the unidentified road accidents on Monday (6th June).
Accordingly, 36 injured people from unidentified road accidents were granted Rs.4 million financial reliefs by the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Sripala de Silva at a ceremony held at Sethsiripaya in Battaramulla.
Last year, 111 unidentified road accidents were reported and 113 people lost their lives from these accidents. 72 people out of them have been given financial relief during that period.
