On a directive of President Maithripala Sirisena, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Defence, D.M.S. Jayaratne has been appointed to look into the complaints made against Post 2015 Presidential Election Violence and to take immediate action on such complaints.
A press release issued by the Media Centre of the Ministry of Defence said several emergency telephone and fax numbers have been set up for the public to inform of any post election violence.
