Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area around the island will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 -60kmph at times.

The Met Dept. forecasts several spells of showers to occur in the sea area off the coast extending from Puttalam to Matara via Colombo and Galle. Showers or thundershowers can be expected at several places in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening.
