The National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) which provides insurance coverage for over 1.2 million government beneficiaries took a step forward in expanding their services by joining hands with Lanka Hospitals to cover private hospital costs for Agrahara medical insurance beneficiaries. A partnership which has been carried out for the past three years between the two parties was recently extended for the fourth consecutive year to provide Agrahara medical insurance beneficiaries easier access to medical facilities in private hospitals.
Professor Abhaya Induruwa on Tuesday (April 8) joined the elite ranks of notable individuals who have been inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame for their significant contributions to the advancement of the global Internet. The Internet Hall of Fame inducted Professor Induruwa for pioneering academic and research networking and Internet in Sri Lanka. The induction ceremony was held in Hong Kong Tuesday.

Drawings for the preliminary round of the State Children’s Art Festival -2014 are being received now. The Festival is organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs and the Panel of Art and Sculpture of the Sri Lanka Arts Council , on the direction of the Ministry of Culture and the Arts.
