The Met. Dept. forecasts that showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle. Showers or thundershowers will develop at most places in the sea areas around the island after 2.00 pm.
Winds will be Southwesterly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area extending from Puttalam to Kankasanturai via Mannar and Matara to Batticaloa via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50 kmph at times.
The sea areas around the island may be temporarily very rough during thundershowers.
