Ministry of Housing together with the Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure granted ‘Visiri’ housing loans for 1,813 beneficiary families in the Badulla District.
100 young men and women were also given sets of vocational equipment by the Minister of Housing Sajith Premadasa and the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure Harin Fernando.
Rs. 207 million was distributed among those families and another 1,500 families will be given housing loans in the future.
According to the Minister Sajith Premadasa, his ministry plans to construct 50 Uda-Gam (villages) during 2017 in the Badulla District.
