Mainly fair weather will prevail over most provinces of the island today, Met. Department said.
However light showers are likely in the Sabaragamuwa Province and showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Eastern Province after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected in the Southern Province (Particularly in the Hambantota District).
