Fairly strong winds can be expected over the country (particularly in Northern, North-central and North-western provinces) and surrounding sea areas from tomorrow,(16th Sept.), said the Met Department today.
Several spells of light showers will occur in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva Province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m.
Fairly strong gusty winds (40-50 kmph) can be expected over Northern Province of the island.
