SLNG’s ‘Guardians’ Mela’ Now Open in Maligapitiya, Kurunegala

Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) Trade Fair and Musical Show ‘Guardians’ Mela’ at Maligapitiya, Kurunelaga was ceremonially, opened by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake Saturday (27) evening at the request of the SLNG Headquarters. It will continue till Wednesday (31).

The project, aimed at further strengthening the SLNG’s welfare fund, consists of stalls, filled with festive decorations, clothes, dry food items, essentials, readymade garments and all other varieties.

The SLNG, who contributed to the success of the eradication of terrorism before the year 2009 lost a fair number of soldiers and suffered disability, has its headquarters in Wehera, Kurunegala.
