    Kilinochchi students attend Army Exhibition in Colombo

    A group of students from Kilinochchi were in Colombo to attend the Sri Lanka Army's photographic exhibition held recently. Students of Kannagapuram Central College were accorded the chance of visiting the photographic exhibition held at the BMICH last week.

    The group of 37 students accompanied by 2 teachers was afforded the chance of attending the event with the kind assistance of the security forces in Kilinochchi. During their visit to Colombo the students also visited the Parliament complex, Viharamahadevi Park, Nelum Pokuna theatre and the Independence Square.

     

    Meanwhile troops serving under the Security Force Headquarters - Central in response to a request by school authorities rendered assistance to repair a large stock of school furniture at Diyatalawa Maha Vidyalaya in Diyatalawa recently. More than 250 chairs and 188 desks which were rendered unusable were repaired by army tradesmen. The school was facing a shortage of school furniture and timely assistance by the troops has come under praise by the school authorities and the parents of the students.
