Winds will be South-westerly and speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The sea area around the island will be rough at times as the winds can strengthen up to 50-60 kmph at times.

Few showers will occur at several places in the sea area off the coast extending from Puttalam to Hambantota via Colombo and Galle. Showers or thundershowers can be expected at a few places in the other sea areas during the afternoon or evening, the Met Dept. forecasts.
